We are about to embark on a literary journey together. We have been divided into three main categories: Post 1900 British/American, Classic Literature of the 1800s and Post Colonial. We have each chosen a novel within one of the categories. Our postings will share what we discover from our novels, and attempt to make connections within and without of our categories. What ties our novels together? How are they unique? What do we learn of the age in which they are written, and what universal truths seem to be explored? In the next few weeks, we will each post a blog based on the first quarter of the novel. We will then respond to a blog: one within our category and one from without.
